There are good and bad things about this bike. First the good : 1. It looks fantastic 2. It drives really smoothly 3. It is sportive still which I like Then the bad : 1. Those tries are way too weak, upgrade them fast. 2. I am used to a hard saddle on my MTB and race bike. This is too hard for a bike like this. Upgrade it ! 3. The Cowboy mudguards, look good but expensive and almost useless except on roads that are moist (not wet) at best. Lastly you can tell the success is weighing on their support. Responsiveness has gone down and resolution takes much longer. Price of success I guess ? Scale your staff like you said. That hopefully fixes it.

    Hello Derrick,

Thank you for your detailed feedback. We are thrilled to read that you love the electrical assistance and the design of our bike.

We fully understand that unexpected flat tyres are super frustrating, especially on new bikes. We have witnessed how flat tyres have impacted our customers last year and regret the frustration caused among our community.

So, we were pleased to offer solutions to help our customers enjoy the ride with more confidence and less anxiety, while maintaining the sleek design, ride feeling and comfort of our tyres.
Existing customers have received Flat-Away™ tyre liners. Flat-Away is a felt tape, reinforced with DuPont Kevlar® fibre, to help improve tyre’s puncture resistance. We tested the performance of this product with Cowboy riders on the field and conducted rigorous “nail puncture tests” in a German test laboratory. We learned that an original Panaracer tyre, fitted with a Flat-Away liner, offers 5x more protection than a Panaracer tyre alone.

Then, we decided to equip our new batches of bikes with other tyres that have the same level of resistance and appearance as our former tyres reinforced with liners. We are thus confident that the riding experience of all our customers will be as it is supposed to: fun and enjoyable. Punctures might still occur if you ride on a sharp piece of glass or approach a curb at high speed, as it would with any other e-bike too.

Regarding the mudguards, we would like to share some information to help you understand what to expect from them and how well they perform compared to other models. Twelve Cowboy customers tested them extensively and rated their performance as 8.6/10 for keeping the rider dry. Hey, if it’s raining, after all; there is no mudguard on the market that will keep you completely dry. The section of the front mudguard behind the fork is what protects your feet from water projections. That section is not much shorter than our previous mudguards, and other mudguards available on the market. In front of the fork, you can notice they are much shorter. At high speed you could catch up with the water in front of you, propelled by the bike.

Delivering great support is definitely one of our main goals at Cowboy. Our support team grew pretty fast over the last year to enable us to keep a great service while we grow.
