- What is the Cowboy trade-in program?
The Cowboy trade-in program allows you to trade in your old e-bike and upgrade to a new Cowboy bike. You'll receive the value of your old e-bike plus an extra 150 € discount on a new Cowboy bike.
- How do I get an estimate for my old e-bike?
Fill out the 'instant estimate' form above with details about your e-bike. You'll receive an estimate on the current value of your e-bike. This value can only be validated after a professional in-person assessment.
- Can I trade-in my existing Cowboy?
Trade-in for Cowboy riders is currently only available in Belgium and the Netherlands, and we're working hard to open up new locations. Live elsewhere? Simply get an estimate for your Cowboy bike and you can register your interest - we'll let you know as soon as it's available.
- What e-bikes do you accept?
A full list of over 200 accepted e-bike brands can be found in the quotation form above.
- Where can I complete the trade-in process?
For the ultimate in convenience one of our mobile trade-in experts will come to you. Alternatively you can complete the trade-in process at a Cowboy brand store (Brussels, Berlin, Paris).
- How do I know if my area is covered by a mobile trade in expert?
Check our trade-in page for the latest list of areas covered by our mobile trade in experts and a list of participating stores.
- What details do I need to provide for the initial quote?
You'll need to provide your bike's brand, year, model, main usage, and mileage. Enter your email address and we'll send you a unique trade in code, and details on how to book a trade-in appointment.
- How is the final trade-in value confirmed?
The final value is confirmed after a Cowboy expert assesses your bike in person. They will check the bike's overall condition, including battery, engine, mechanical components, and visual state and submit these details to Upway to receive an on the spot, accurate valuation of your bike.
- When will I know exactly how much my bike is worth?
Once our experts have completed the assessment, you will receive an instant and 'locked' trade-in value for your old e-bike. This quote is valid for 2 weeks from the date of confirmation.
- How do I complete the trade-in?
If you choose to complete the trade-in, our expert will guide you through a few extra steps to complete your trade in. Upon completion you will be asked to handover your old bike if you are in-store, or our mobile test rider will take your e-bike away for processing.
- Aside from my e-bike what else will I need to handover?
Battery, battery charger and at least 1 key.
- What happens to my old e-bike?
You don't have to worry about this part, we'll take care of this for you. Once you trade in your e-bike, we will send it to Upway for refurbishment and resale, promoting sustainability and extending the bike's lifecycle.
- How and when will I receive the discount voucher?
After confirming your trade-in and handing over your old e-bike, you'll receive a unique discount voucher via email. This can be used immediately in a Cowboy Brand Store or online to purchase a new Cowboy bike.
- How much is the discount?
The discount is the confirmed value of your old e-bike plus an extra 150 € that we are offering as an incentive to help you upgrade to a new Cowboy bike.
- Can I use the 150 € discount independently?
No, the 150 € discount is an additional saving on top of the confirmed trade-in value of your old e-bike.
- How can I use the discount voucher?
The voucher can be used to purchase any new Cowboy bike in a Cowboy Brand Store or online. It is valid for 12 months post-issuance.
- What Cowboy models can I get a discount on?
You can use the voucher off any new Cowboy bike (Cruiser, Cruiser ST, Classic, Cross, Cross ST). This excludes Circular bikes and it can't be used for accessories or services, unless combined with the purchase of a new bike.
- How will I be notified about my trade-in status?
You will receive email notifications at each step of the process, including the initial quote, final valuation, and discount voucher issuance.
